So my InvisibleSHield has torn a bit at the corner, is this covered under warranty?

If so, I bought it from shopandship.co.za so do they replace it or do I send it to actual InvisibleSHield?

The invisibleshield has a lifetime warranty from Zagg themselves, doubt the local guys will help you out. Check their help/support at http://www.zagg.com/
Basically what you have to do is register your shield with their site, get an email with a reference no, then let them have a copy of the invoice. You can probably email a scanned copy to them like I did. Only then is your warranty valid. You can then get a free replacement. All you pay is the shipping, I think was about R35 (US$ 3.95) or so for shipping. When you have the new one you send the old one back to keep up the lifetime warranty (about R10 postage)
I would recommenD you call their 800 no using SkypeOut (so free) just check the time they are open on their web site then google "time salt lake city" to see the current time there, and spoke to someone and they were very helpful.
On a side note, my new cover is now pealing off on the strips that you put on the silver on top and bottom so is quite annoying.
Hope this helps.

According to Shop and Ships FAQ page, "All warranties are held with Shop and Ship Online."

Not sure which phone you have but one of their InvisibleShield product page descriptions states, "It is so tough that we back it with a lifetime guarantee."

Armed with this information, it would be safe to say that Shop and Ship must honour the lifetime warranty, saving you all the hassle of going direct with Zagg.

Pooky, let us know what the outcome was in the end and what route you followed etc.

I phoned zagg.com and they told me it will be covered but I don't like the idea of them having a pre-authorized transaction for the full amount on a credit card. Reason being that they say on the website if the shield does not reach them within 25 days they will charge you, and the post may well take longer than that to get there.

I email shopandship.co.za and asked them what steps I need to follow to get a replacement, awaiting a reply...

That sounds strange, maybe they have changed their procedures since I did my swap out in May09. They sent me the replacement for free (I just paid shipping) without me doing much more and then after I had it and been using it for months I realised I actually forgot to send my old one back as it got buried in a drawer and only posted that back a good 4 months later and I was still fine.

Maybe they're doing it that way because people arent sending theirs back? ;)

LOL yeah maybe that's the change. However, if I never sent it back it would have been better for them as then my lifetime warranty was no longer in place, I can't imagine they do much with the sent back items, unless they have some decent quality control to see what happened to it, not that it would show them as mine was just pealing off, nothing else was wrong with it.

I think they just want to make sure its a 1:1 exchange and you're not just giving them away to your mates.

Yeah agreed, they need some sort of protection against people using them as a "2 for 1" offer setup.
I hate that my new shield is starting to peal off as well, on my iPhone the slithers you put on the top and bottom silver bits - so no major biggie if I don't have those on I suppose. The flaps from the back cover that go round the bottom corners are also a concern but hope they will be OK as don't feel like removing and going through the whole thing again.
