I have a 512k ADSL line. As from yesterday evening Telkom has downgraded me to a 192k ASDL line. My router used to sync at 640kbps but is now sync'ing at 320kbps and the telkom speed test used to say i could download at 55KBps but now says I can only download at 20KBps. I haven't sent through any downgrade requests. I call their help line and argue with them for about 30min because they wouldn't believe me that I only have a 192k line instead of the 512k line that i'm paying for. Anyways they have now put in a request with the installations department to have me upgraded to a 512k line. Anyone else experience something like this?

Hi, have a smiliar problem, but on 384. My Datarate - Upstream = 320, Downstream = 512. I used to get 384 & 640. Phoned Telkom, they claim I am getting a better speed than I should get. They asked me to do the ftp speed test on the Telkom site and the speed was 40KB/sec. Is this what you should get with 384, I used to get far higher
