iOS 13.6 Battery drain

Not on 13.6 yet but noticing some hectic battery drain on my 7. Was hoping an update would sort that out.
 
I have been avoiding the update for quite some time.

What I have learnt from having an apple is do not upgrade unless it fixes something major. Every time I have done an upgrade I've noticed something wrong with the phone.

Apparantly you get really bad battery your first two days because something is processing in the background. That is what ZoloTech said on his YouTube channel

Yes, I read something about that.
Relates to indexing. I did not take notice of it, since I thought it does not relate to me.
I will monitor for the next couple of days.
Battery does seem better today.
 
Check under Settings --> Battery what is eating your battery power. We've picked up that WhatsApp and Facebook are culprits.
 
Always crash all your apps before an iOS upgrade or immediately after one if you didn't do it manually.

I have found this solves most of these niggles.
 
Since last charge this morning:

Firefox:
1h 6m on screen - 6m background

Twitter
27m on screen

Whatsapp
13 min on screen - 11m background <- wtf
 
What I also picked up was that iPhones drain when you have bad signal. Saw it happen when travelling.
 
My XS tends to get warm , not hot , only when making FaceTime voice calls using a Mobile Network data connection.

No issues when using Wifi.
