IOS 4.3.1 Released

Mmmm, sounds like a "minor" fix to patch up the cracks and jailbreaks, they really did manage to crack 4.3 quickly...
 
Yup, 4.3.1 doesn't bring anything new and is just to fix a few odd issues. There is no mention of anything to do with they battery usage, a friend on 4.3 on his iP4 has had really bad battery since the 4.2.1 to 4.3 upgrade so maybe this will help that, I'm sticking on 4.2.1 for the foreseeable future.
 
Well I'm still waiting for an untethered jailbreak for 4.3 or 4.3.1.

Yup, same here, main reason for me sticking with 4.2.1 - don't wanna do without my JailBreak tweaks (LockInfo, BiteSMS, QuickDo, SBSettings and a few others)
 
Personal hotspot- 4.3.1

Hi all,

Updated to 4.3.1, on vodacom Iphone 240 package. I am unable to see the personal hotspot option under settings>network? Anyone have any advice?

I assume your APN is set to iphone.vodacom.za, don't think that matters but check, you need to have the APN enabled by Vodacom too before you can use that if not (call 082155 for that). Have you rebooted, heard that a few people had to reboot the phone to get the option to show up. More than that I dunno.

I have done a reboot, I have even taken the simcard out, and yes, the APN is set to iphone.vodacom.za. No luck yet...
Anyone out there that had a similar issue, and fixed it?

Battery life on my iPhone4 has almost halved since the 4.3 upgrade - hope this fixes it. Seems every second iOS release has battery life issues - maybe Apple is doing it deliberately to condition the batteries?? Just a little concerned by reports that the personal hotspot functionality disappears on 4.3.1.

Try going to Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings - that usually seems to sort out network related glitches for me. I haven't upgraded to 4.3.1 yet so haven't had this issue. I'd be interested to know if this helps, or if this is a problem with 4.3.1 before I update.
