iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak Released!!!

iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak released (untethered)!!

The time has come! The recently discovered 4.3.1 jailbreak vulnerability has been integrated into the latest version of RedSnow. The vulnerability is untethered, which, unlike tethered jailbreak, allows you to reboot the iDevice and maintain your jailbreak.

The jailbreak is currently supports the following devices: iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G, iPad 1 and Apple TV 2. The iPad 2 has no support as of yet.

* UNLOCKERS WARNING: The 4.3.1 update contains an updated baseband, which means you will lose any software unlock should you update, and your device will be locked again, until an unlock is released for the new baseband. To upgrade without upgrading your baseband, you must upgrade using TinyUmbrella. see iClarified’s tutorial here.

Lucky! I'm still trying to get my hands on one!

But they said it was due to legal reasons or something that there is no iPad2 support.. So it's possible, but not legal to distribute as of yet from what I gathered.. So don't lose all hope just yet

Pretty sure not, I think this only works on 4.3.1 - saw that on one of the guides - any reason for not upgrading to .1 ? Did my iP4 from 4.2.1 to 4.3.1 last night with redsn0w and all worked fine.

I used Redsn0w :
when it is running terminal / verbose mode it kind of hangs for 10 seconds which gave me a small heart attack... but other than that it works great.
