Hi Guys

i know i'm late but i wanted to update my ipad software to IOS 7. I'm still on version 5.1, but this is only due to me being lazy not to update the software everytime a new version came out together with the jailbreak.

when i go to my settings, software update the only message i get is that IOS 8 is ready to be installed but i dont want that yet until a jailbreak is out...

any ideas how i can upgrade to IOS 7?

You need to download the correct iOS 7 .ipsw file and load it from iTunes. All the info you need can be found at www.iphoneza.co.za.

Is your iPad already jailbroken? If yes, fire up Cydia and have a look whether the blobs for iOS 7x were autosaved to Cydia servers. If they are there you could download them, download the original IPSW and build yourself custom iOS 7.

Depending on the iPad version you don't even want ios 7 on it. The older iPad's have lower spec cpu's and ios 7 upwards aren't meant to run in them.

iOS 8 runs brilliantly on the iPad 2. It's the iPad 3 that has been (always) been a problem.
