This is correct. It's free for all new iOS device purchases. Not for your old iDevices.

Edit: BTW: iWorks has nothing to do with iOS 7 nor does it being free. So your title is misleading.

THREE days over a 2MB MWeb ADSL and stil not past 300MB?! Time-outs, hangs, trickles.
