I wonder if anyone has found a solution to this. I have extended the number of lines to the max :7.
However, when I open an email, it says : "This message has not been downloaded from the server"

My access is to a pop account (business) at MWEB, which is a private domain.
The mailbox size is only 200mb.

My iphone has many thousands of email on storage which is now almost totally worthless because I cannot go back to emails of last month/year etc.

I have visited the istore. They know. They asked that I phone apple 0800444426*5.
Their response is : ISP's needs to upgrade their software to become compatible with IOS/Apple.
I am devastated.

I actually purchased devices with bitter memory to store copies of email, as I travel a lot.

Basically I have to consider another solution.

In short I am really disappointed and disjointed.

I tend to agree though...POP3 is ancient and your ISP really does need to catch a wake up.

But this being MWEB there should also be an IMAP option available to you, not just POP3.

Unfortunately I don't have an iOS device with me to check for sure, but there was an option available for "download X number of days/months/weeks" of mail which might help. However it won't go back in time to get mail that is no longer on your server.

Pop3 is ancient?
Just as ancient as imap...
And they have different uses.

Yes but we've seen IMAP in better newer implementations at least compared to POP3 which is still the same old same old.

Fact is POP3 is NOT really geared towards mobile devices. Mobile devices want server-side storage options that can be accessed from anywhere at any time.

Downloading your mail locally is just so...old.
