Our client is an established international company and global leader in online verification systems - they are currently looking for an iOS Developer to join the team in South Africa on a permanent basis.
The company's mobile arm is starting a presence in Cape Town and looking for an iOS Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and who will work with their team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
* Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform.
* Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
* Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
* Work with cameras and image processing on the phone.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
* Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.
Requirements:
* Proven working experience in software development
* 2+ years of working experience in iOS development
* Have published one or more iOS apps in the app store
* Familiarity with Objective-C and Cocoa Touch
* Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and Core Text
* Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
* Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
* Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Swift experience is a bonus but not required - being open to move to Swift (or at least having an opinion for or against) is advantageous. An innovative brain is a must as there are lots of innovations to be made going forward.
