Having a had time deciding where on the forum to post this request. Mostly because MyBB search will not allow "IoT" (The following words were not included in your search because they are too short, too long, or too common: iot )
I am looking to be able to track a few objects. One such item is an electric fence energiser. Our's are constantly stolen even when locking in steel boxes that are bolted down. And, don't laugh, in broad daylight. I can easily open the unit and place a tracker inside.
But what about smaller, less obvious devices? Like inside the packaging of a 100ml pharmaceutical? We are noticing that a staff member is helping themself to some pharmaceuticals and selling them off. The staff member needs 24 hour access to the drugs to treat sick animals, but a bottle contains 5 doses. It is highly unlikely that they would need to administer 5 doses at one time. We would like to insert trackers in a few of the packages and be able to, at a given time, request the location of those trackers.
So any advice? Or would a NFC patch and reader be a better option?
