I'm new to ioT, so apologies in advance.
I'm a website developer and my client need certain information for marketing purposes. I will try my best with the following example.
Mr. Smith owns 3 cellular repair shops. He wants to install a simple and cheap ioT device in each shop that will "capture" a client that walks in with either a device with a GPS signal or WiFi connection. He is not interested in any personal or sensitive data (I don't know what information an ioT device "captures"). It must only capture clients that are in the shop so a radius/range will need to be configured.
1. Must this ioT device be connected to a physical PC in the shop?
2. How can the information be sent to his server that hosts his website to be processed to show peak times etc.?
3. Which ioT device can you recommend which we can purchase and test?
ANY help will be appreciated.
