Does anyone know where I can get an app/db that has a list of IP assignments by country?

Thanks Freshy, I'm actually looking for a spreadsheet of all the assigned blocks by coutry instead of having to search for them online.

You can easily make one using that site? Just select all countries you are interested in and then click the IP RANGE radio button. It will generate a complete list for you. Try it.

I use it to generate block lists to add to my htaccess file. If you check the htaccess deny radio button it generates a list that you simply drop into the file and voila! No more Russians, Chinese, Ukrainians etc etc etc

WebNet77 allows you to perform country lookups based on the IP address entered. They also allow you to "Download the Entire Database" in csv format (see the menu boxes on the right) for FREE which you can then make use of as you require

There are also paid-for-services (e.g. IP2Location), some of which offer more detailed information such as: country, region, city, latitude, longitude, ZIP code, time zone, etc.
