Hi Everyone

Just launched a new service dedicated to IP Address information. The site is over at www.ipwhois.co.za

Here users can:

* View their IP Address
* Lookup information as well as geo-information on any IP address
* View browser information
* Do a proxy check
* HTTP header checks
* Resolve hostnames
* Conduct a spam list check
* Do a website speed check
* Conduct WHOIS checks at almost all domain registrars, including co.za

I have some more plans on expanding this website and will introduce new futures as we go.

I will appreciate your feedback and opinions on the site.

Edit: I have also just created a Google Chrome add-on for those who need to make use of IPWhois look-ups on a regular basis. Users can now conduct IPWhois lookups directly from their browsers.

Hi House,
Neat and easy to use. Geographically though it had me in the wrong location. I am in Randburg and it pput my IP in Kensington.

It happens. I've entered IPs for clients, knowing they're in say Jozie or Pe, and it says they're in Cape Town. It's to do with tracing back the route for the IP.
 
I like - well done.
On a corporate network ATM so I will check it out again later.
 
Thanks for your comments guys, and yes, an iP address will only reveal the exact person and location using it when that info is obtained from the services provider.

This tool is quite accurate with the geolocation, but not 100% spot on.

This, however, is a good tool for identifying the correct services provider. I make use of Arin / Ripe for my results and they are up to date unlike services making use of older databases to provide results.
