I am intermittently losing wi-fi connection on my ipad2 with latest 5.1 software. Everytime I have to reconnect and enter my password again. Are there maybe any suggestions where I can start to look for the problem?

Have you got another wifi device?

The idea is to verify whether the problem is with your ipad or not. If the second wifi device exhibit the same symptoms, then it's your wifi router, if not, then it's the ipad.

Never had any issues with my ipad so far. I'm on the latest 5.1 as well.

I've got an iphone 4 and my wife has the ipad 1. Both connected without any issues. I've read on the apple forums that this is a "common" problem after the software update, but can't seem to find a solution.

Hi, I have the same issue with my iPod touch (4th gen). Only after I upgraded to iOS 5, did I notice the drop in connectivity with my WiFi.

I have my phone connected to WiFi as wel and it works perfectly. I also have my consoles connected and they do not loose connection.

I sort of figured out a trick which helps when the connection drops. When browsing, I have my settings window open. I have the Wifi settings open which display the wireless network I am on. When my connection drops, I just switch tasks to the wifi settings which I have open in the background and I suddenly get connection again.

This may or may not work, but its just something I figured out with my device. Let me know If it helps though.

I also thought it was my router, but it is not the case.
