Does SA stand a good chance of getting it? I HOPE SO!

Well, let's see... Anyone here got theirs from the local agents..?
Core (or Vodacom if it's a 3G thing) have had more than a year to get their s**t together, but they haven't. The baffling thing is, since the iPad's launch, they have managed to get the iPhone 4 and the MacBook Air here... Go figure..?
I'm pretty sure, whatever the updates for the next iPad are, we'll all still be "importing" them ourselves.

I also cannot see why we have no official iPad in SA yet. Is it perhaps because Core sees it as a non-phone product falling within their exclusive distro rights and the networks see it differently ... and as a result consumers get zip?

BTW theres a lot of online chatter on the new iPad 2 so something is coming for sure (may not be end of Feb, but no later than end of March).

I too only got my iPad from Oz only a few weeks ago, so I will try and resist my feelings of perceived obsolescence!

I reckon it will only be relatively minor upgrade, processor and memory boost, possibly a camera. It already has the same square edge as the iphone 4 so I don't reckon there'll be any cosmetic change. Retina display maybe, but not likely...
