Hi guys

I have a problem with an iPad at work, it uses Vodacom 3G internet.

Our work email works perfect, but the person's Telkom email can send emails but can't receive any? Normally it's the other way around?

On the iPad I set up a POP account and used the following settings:
Name: Persons name and Surname
Email: the @telkomsa.net email

Incoming Mail Server
Host Name: pop3.telkomsa.net
User Name: Onlinexxxx (The same one being used on her laptop, Telkom Username)
Password: The password of the Telkom account

Outgoing Mail Server
Here I'm using our own smtp server which allows me to send messages from off the iPad through the Telkom account.

Am I doing something wrong? The incoming mail settings are right? The iPad keeps on saying something in the line of: Can't get information of pop3.telkomsa.net, something like that.

I suspect that the password you are using is for the access account that you plug in to the router for DSL access and that the email itself has a different password.

Thanks for the reply Paul. The thing is, I'm using that exact username (the Onlinexxxx) one on her MacBookAir with the same Vodacom 3G internet and it works there.

And also on the iPad when you send a message via the Telkom account I can receive it on my email. It also shows in the email that it was send using the Telkom account.
