Should be OK, the theory is the phone should only draw the current it requires.Anything bad about doing this?
Voltage should be standard (5V) since its runs via a USB interface. What's the output voltage and current?
The Samsung says 5v 1.0A and the Apple is 5.1v and 2.1A
Very similar - so shouldn't short battery life?
It shouldn't harm the battery. The USB port on the S3 will only draw current at a certain rate. The amperage of the charger won't change that, it just indicates the maximum current it can provide.
The actual AC charger that goes in the wall ... and it works!
So perhaps my Samsung one is bust :/
