So without me having to browse multiple sites looking for the "best" deal, who are you guys using at the moment and on what package and price? Anyone running any good data contract deal at the moment that i can use on the Ipad?

Using a cell c prepaid sim, 50-100 per week = 500-1000MB per week and you keep the money on there for future bundles or calls etc best deal I.M.O + FNB IPAD

8ta looks good right now, still want to shop around a bit more and get a few more suggestions before commiting. Thanks for the reply.
 
i was thinking of getting the pre-paid cellc sim that gives you 2GB's a month or so, but then what about when you dont want an ipad anymore and the mini sim that i cut doesnt fit into a normal data modem :/
 
8ta 10GB/month deal really good with good speeds and coverage. R199 per month on 24-month contract.

Wish they had a dual sim option for this, great deal non the less.

Do ny of you know if this is a once of deal on the sim that is activated or can i buy multiple of this deal and just "load"/"activate" it on the sim?
 
I made the mistake of vodacom prepaid..got the bloody sim and then saw it was R280 odd per gig. After paying everything for sim/data etc blah..couldn't get the 3G to work so went back to the store where they charged 60 fekking bucks to do the settings which took 2 mins and they could have just told me what to do and I would have done it myself. Will be changing ASAP.
 
8ta is a 24 month contract then?

I'm looking for a pay-as-you-go option. Have ADSL at home, and Wifi at work - so won't always be using the 3G option, so would prefer not to be tied in....

Yep, I saw that but I mainly use wifi and only use the 3G when I'm not at home. It puts me off that I have to use the 20gbs in 2 months, it would be a total waste. I mainly only use 3g when sitting in traffic to work..lol..I'm a 3rd wheel so enjoy being able to surf.

As I understand it, you can do a SIM swap at a CellC store, and get the adapter so that you can use the microSIM in any normal phone/appliance.

I've wasted two SIMs trying to cut it up to fit... :o But I'm trying new, unRICA'd SIMS till I get it right. Then I'll RICA a SIM, and cut it.
