iPad Mini 4 teardown: specifications revealed

This is a proper upgrade for the iPad Mini this round around unlike the Mini 3. This 4th Gen has pretty much same power as the Air 2 just in a more compact package.

You are right and therefore I am very interested to upgrade my iPad Mini 2 16gb to this iPad Mini 4 64gb. I wish I know when they will become available in SA.

I asked at the iStore if they had any visibility into when the new devices would be available in South Africa. It reminded me how I miss the days when people who work in shops actually knew anything about the products they sell :sick:

Also no ETA on the iPod Touch 6th Gen.

It should be here by now.
 
I read somewhere that the iPad mini 4 cpu is in no way comparable to air 2 & at best an iPhone 6 Plus cpu

The iPad Mini sports a dual core CPU instead of a tri core. However, it is still blazingly fast so that is no deal breaker. I believe the reason why the iPad Mini does not sport the tri core CPU is because of heat issues in the smaller form factor but I might be wrong.
 
Seriously a 1.5GHz dual core processor and only 2GB RAM in 2015? Apple love selling old tech to iSheep at hugely inflated prices! My Samsung tab has an octa core processor with 3GB RAM and costs less haha!
 
But Apple got their people by the right parts. This thing of non-expandable storage has been working in Apple's favor big time for a while now. Easy to overprice the same device mostly based just on storage :sick:

I love my iStuff - will never go back to struggling
