I've been looking for where to find ipad's on contacts with data plans. Anyone know where to find these in South Africa?

The Istore sell you contracts(VC IF I remember correctly)

Incredible Connection said that Apple does not permit iPads to be bundled with any type of long term service or connectivity contract such as those with which cellular phones are often packaged. Incredible Connection adds that buyers may use their existing connectivity contracts, pre-paid facilities, or separate data bundles, to connect their iPads to the Internet.

I have not seen Vodacom, MTN or Cell C offer iPads on contract. Might have something to do with Core vs Networks as local distributors of iPhone vs iEverythingElse. Core can't give you a network contract and Vodacom can't give you an iPad on one of its contracts.

I know for a fact though that all Mac branded products (iMac, MacBook Pro, etc) can be acquired on VC contract at iStore.

I called the iStore in Canal Walk. ipAd's and ipOd's are not available on contract. iPhone's, iMac's and Macbooks are available on contracts.
It's a network (VDC/MTN/CellC) thing and not a iStore thing.
Appranently Apple and the newtorks have not agreed on the way money needs to change hands to make contracts for iPads possible.
