ipad with dvd drive?

Would one not be able to connect a external DVD drive to an ipad?

Is this already out or what do you think of the idea?

No. The whole point of the iPad is it has no moving parts. You can easily rip those DVD's down and copy them to the iPad though. You can fit lots of movies on one.

I don't want a DVD drive or even USB on my iPad. All about cloud computing
