Hi,

I am wanting to setup Ipcop with the Adsl connection on the red network card but also have the posibility to switch to Iburst or wimax if our poor adsl line drops...(once a week )

I can setup the above mentioned but basically want to have 2 red network cards so i dont have to unplug the adsl nic and plug in the wimax or iburst

If any one have a suggestions or idea i would like to get it sorted

I think its worth it to look at this option in our country with helkom

Regards

Deon

DON'T BOTHER WITH IBURST! Their Bandwidth theft, Monkey accounts department, terrible service, semi stable connection, shaped to hell network, regurgitated MTU response technical support. You most likely better off with ADSL, 3G, WiMax.

Iburst Ipcop Help

Hi guys

I know that Iburst is not the best and further more funny how Iburst is now using wimax as backbone as mybroadband forum.

But I have over 30 clients using Iburst as they don’t have adsl and 3G is to expensive.

In the meantime I have setup the Iburst via the Ethernet red nic and wimax via the same red nic. Clearly there is n huge speed difference but as Murphy predicted the Iburst was extremely slow and my wimax connection dropped. So now I am stuck with the Iburst again as helkom will one day in next week repair the wimax.

I am forced to plug in and out the wimax and Iburst if I need to switch. I am sure there is a better way????

Try Endian as it supports multiple wan's and automatic failover.
You can have a look at the features on the following site:

http://www.endian.com/en/community/comparison/

Very similiar to IPCop.

endian "could not install packages" error

A work around for the "could not install packages" error, don't try to boot from the cd-rom, boot directly from the ISO file.
