IPCop & Cop+

So, I got IPCop working, installed the Addon Server, and downloaded and installed the newest version of Cop+.

The content filter works perfectly, but user authentication doesnt. I set up the proxy in the browser and all, and the authentication window pops up when I want to load a website, but after I put in the user name and password and press ok, the window pops up again and again and again...

So, does anyone have any advice?

Sounds like you need to check your browser's cookie settings - I am guessing though .

I'll check it out, thing is, if I use Advance Proxy authentication works perfectly but I cant use it with Cop+, and I cant find DansGuardian with a GUI for IPCop 1.4.10.

Have you installed the Traffic Control & Report addon yet?

I find it works best to monitor usage of different PCs [sadly not migratory/roaming users], with static IP addresses setup in IPCop's DHCP service page [according to the MAC of each PC's NIC]...​

havent had a chance to try any of the other addons, but thats one i thought of trying later on

do you know of any good content filtering addon i can use, other than cop+? Or do you know how to install dansguardian on IPcop without cop+, cos the link to the how to on the ipcop.org site doesnt work?
