all my devices still only on 15.4 ( but i do have beta profile installed), will check childs phone which isnt,

[removed beta profile, all updating now]

Apparently if you have the setting “automatically check for updates” turned on, you wait longer for updates as Apple tries to prevent strain on their servers. You can get it immediately if that setting is turned off and check for updates manually.

Don’t know if this is necessarily the case with you and some others, but it’s something I read the other day and thought to mention it here.

I bought my 13 Pro Max 256GB at a discount on Carb (sealed unit) for R25k. These bloody phones are crazy expensive.

(Although I love every moment with it)

I'm in the market for an iPhone 13 Pro Max 256 GB. I need the good battery life and I love a big phone XD.
I currently have the iPhone 11 Pro Max 256 GB, so I saw that Istore has a trade in program and the estimated amount I could get for the phone is R13K. That is my current plan, but if anyone maybe has a better deal for me I don't know about, please feel free to let me know. I'm also looking to bundle an Apple Watch and AirPods with the 13 Pro Max if the price isn't too steep per month. What would you guys suggest?
Any help will be much appreciated.

I was thinking of doing the same, but it’s a little late to get a 13 now as we are less than 6months away from 14 Pro Max announcement.

If you don’t mind getting a 13 Pro Max now then go for it, not aware of any “great deals” on these devices at the moment, maybe go to iStore and see what packages they can give you on the various networks.

It'll be at least Nov/Dec before the 14 hits us and who knows what shortages we will have. I've just ordered a 13, waiting for the 14 is not on the menu for me.

Congratulations!!

I will be getting a call from Vodacom this coming week but I am set on not upgrading, I’m happy to wait until Nov/Dec. It will be my Xmas pressie to myself lol :ROFL:

To a certain point I don’t get why people always “want to wait” for new tech…at the rate tech is renewed, the device you want to wait for is also gonna be “old” in a short amount of time.

Yeah sure, the 14 range may be less than six months away, that also means the 15 range is less than 18 months away.

Yeah sure, the 14 range may be less than six months away, but that also means the 13 range, which everyone could not wait to get their hands on, is barely more than 6 months old.

If you want/need a new device, go and get what’s currently on the market. In a few years’ time you gonna get something new and better again.

PS. Not criticising or attacking anyone with this post, no one should take it personally or feel insulted by it - just casually giving an objective opinion to think about

I’m also on an 11 Pro Max 256GB by the way, been very happy with it so far, and it still feels snappy so I figure keep going with it and wait a little longer. I Iike the 13 Pro Max but having used a friends one to me it didn’t give me that “oooh, you gotta get this one!” vibe, despite the 120hz screen, iOS is so stupidly smooth, then again I have my iPad Pro with 120hz, so maybe I’m just used to it now.

What I want to see is if the 14 Pro Max will bring something new in the camera like longer zoom range and possibly a newer setup of FaceID (notch surround possibly gone).


That being said the 13 Pro Max is still an amazing device! I just know myself, when I am not thoroughly convinced by a device it’s a no go:ROFL:

Go and give the 13 Pro Max a try in store! You may feel differently to me.
