iPhone 3GS CSV/WORD DOC viewer problem

Can anybody give advice on my problem:
When I view CSV or DOC files, the formatting shows in text (like viewing a file with formatting in notepad), and the CSV files dont show up in columns - also just text garble.
Any suggestions please?:confused:
