Does anyone know if you can jailbreak a network locked iPhone 4 (iOs 4.2.1 with firmware 03.10.01)?

You can but it will be tethered. Unless you saved your 4.2b3 blobs, and you can get hold of the iOS4.2GM build, then you can perform an untethered JB.

Actually got O2 to do a network unlock for me last night so no jailbreak needed anymore

Great! Glad you managed. It sucks having an iPhone but being completely unable to use it!
