i have a iphone 4 locked to AT&T
just wondering if anyone has been successful in using the Gevey
on 8ta, i have been successful using it with a vodacom sim, wich makes me think that maybe because 8ta is essentially roaming on mtn that its causing the problem.
another issue (very remote) could be that i have miss cut the sim (to make it a micro sim)

just interested to hear if you anyone has done this, or perhaps if anyone has successfully unlocked an iphone 4 version 4.3.1 on baseband 04.10.01 using some
sort of software.

any advice is welcome.

thanks for listening.

iPHONE 4

How much did you pay for the phone? I believe that Apple will dump the iphone 4 for USD99 as soon as iphone5 is released but I am not sure where to try and buy in the states. In fact can't even find iphon3/3gs for USD99

hey man :) I would try the sim in another unlocked iphone 4 ( a buddies or something) to check if it's the SIM. it could very well be that!

good luck!

Absolute success using the Gevey sim. I had a locked ATT USA iPhone 4. jailbroke it, used the Gevey with a vodacom micro and voila, I am rolling

I bought the Gevey Supreme (Yellow) 2 weeks ago and have been successfully using it with my iphone 4 on vodacom except that I seem to be getting a lot of missed calls where by they seem to go straight to voicemail without my phone ringing. I'm not 100% sure whether this is a vodacom thing or perhaps related to the gevey, as I do know other people using officially unlocked iphone 4's that also get the same problem every now and then. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Update: It turns out it was vodacom all along. My phone is now making/receiving calls without any issues thanks to the Gevey sim. :D

Where do you get this Sim? If I get a iPhone 3GS from the USA what will it cost to make it work locally?
