Mmm ... so should I delay my upgrade. On the face of it MTN is cheaper ... I don't want to port my number.

From other MTN iPhone 4 threads on MyBB it seems the 300 MB is a special and it reverts to 150 MB end of the year. Can you confirm?
 
Oh well.... Nashua loses a long time customer. After waiting this long and being told repeatedly by 5 different ppl they will have pricing by today, I am being told "still not, and no news when"
So sad, too bad. Going over to MTNSP where at least I know I won't be strung along for months. Nashua..been nice knowing you for 15 years, but I don't want to upgrade 3 months later than I need to and get locked into a contract for that many extra months.

I was also very dissapointed when I enquired about the Iphone 4 on MTN today, I mean FFS it has been months already....
 
spoke to a women at Nashua about 15 mins ago and she said they only getting stock end of this month ... they right after she said " wait , no sorry sir only the end of Jan " ahahaha .
they she tried to sell me a BB ... no thanks
 
Well..I spoke to MTNSP at Melrose Arch who said they don't offer the iPhone at all..then he told me that only very few MTN stores are doing the iPhone 4, and that it was mainly a few iStores that are doing it..and this by decision of Apple themselves.
So I phoned around, and very few MTN stores are actually doing it. Not just no stock..they are NOT doing it at all.
I am thinking the agreement between Apple and MTN didn't cover many stores at all..and if this is the case, then I have my doubts if Nashua will EVER get it on MTN.
We don't have any proof to the contrary, so I am doing the port and going to the iStore. Not goi ng to get jerked around.

well i am with nashua on mtn.....and the iphone will not be offered by nashua on MTN this year....they busy testing....APPLE has certain requirements....and Nashuas current billing system doesnt comply....MTNSP does...
Go Figure....

They currently testing to get this right


Vodacom on the other hand have handles this Apple requirement for Nashua....thus they provide em with iphones...but nashua are currently sitting with a back other of 500+ waiting time 8weeks

bottom line? go with MTNSP....online....or istore....
 
From what I have been able to work out, Nashua and most other SP's will NEVER have the iPhone.
And if you take a look..even at MTNSP's website..you will see that even MTN don't really have many shops offering it...it is really only a few iStores that are selling it on a MTNSP contract.
So Apple isn't expanding the network of people offering it. It is mainly going to be Apple themselves offering it through MTN...and that's the way it is.

As for me, I went to an iStore to go port from Nashua Mobile..with various bank statements, Nashua bills, Telephone accounts, ID, Municipal accounts, gold card, platinum card, and Nashua cancellation form.
But MTN demands so much stupid extra paperwork (including 3 months salary slips, 3 months banks statements etc etc) that I just decided it really isn't worth it for the hassle. If 15 years of flawless contracts and a perfect credit rating isn't enough...well I just told them to get stuffed and left. I don't have time to play games with people who don't want the business. If you have a damn platinum card, and a recent bank statement and all the RICA stuff..you should qualify for a stupid cellphone contract without having to run back and forth gathering unnecessary paperwork.

I'll just buy an iPhone cash, and run month to month without being locked into a contract.
