Was given a Iphone to test stuff with at our company and it simply blew me away but there were some features on a Blackberry that I yearned for at work. So after 1 month I've taken my trusted BlackBerry out of the company safe and started using it. How do I compare it... like using a unicycle in a a F1 race.

Really disappointing to yearn for something that is so archaic. Back to the iphone I go.

What did you yearn for on a blackberry that iPhone couldn't do?

I use an iPhone as private handset and Blackberry on twin sim for company mail (as only approved device at present locally)

So my views is iPhone is far more practical with more usable applications and features - however from a messaging aspect the Blackberry offer greater integration and BBM really practical - even with the limitations on group chat.

The Blackberry is ancient as I have a Bold 9700 without a friendly UI or decent screen but for messaging and diary it is far more robust. When I travel a great feature is I can get a local sim and it works for normal email and bbm without changing anything - for company email a little more complicated as BES required that varies per country. But BB wireless is just not as versatile as iPhone.

My summary is it depends what your primary need is - a robust email and messenger tool than bb - a smartphone than iPhone or Andriod.
