iPhone 4 wifi hotspot - iOS4.3

I upgraded my iphone 4 to iOS 4.3 and had the personal hotspot feature appear for about 2 minutes then it dissapeared.

Did vodacom disable this feature or how can i get it back so that my ip4 becomes
 
Found it again under another setting. My iphone4 now a wifi router/hotspot too!

Hahahahaha... Hey, as an Apple fanboy myself, I don't mind a bit of fanboyism or fandroidism. What does make me laugh 'tho, especially in this particular pissing contest, is that everyone is pissing just as far as the opposition but inevitably, it's the fandroids that come and do their little "victory" dance in front of the home fans. :rolleyes:
 
Ok so wait, Wifi Hotspot is working on Vodacom. What about MTN? Anyone confirm this?
 
Let's go & piss on them in the Droid forums, oh wait there aren't any!
 
I found an app on Cedia called MyWi OnDemand that might help with this problem, it switches off the wi-fi link when the Ipad is not used.

It seems this thread has gone completely off topic. I have not upgraded to iOS 4.3 yet, but I have read somewhere that if it is not being used for a few minutes, it will switch off to save some battery life

It costs money, whereas the new update, the hotspot feature comes for free. Thanks for letting us know :)
 
From the apple website:

You can share your connection with up to five devices at once over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB — with up to three of those connections using Wi-Fi. Every connection is password protected and secure. And it’s power friendly, too. iPhone detects when your Personal Hotspot is no longer in use and turns it off to save battery life

I would love to see a comparison between the bluetooth and Wi-Fi link eg range, battery usage per hour, etc
