iPhone 6S and 6S Plus S.A. Release Date?

I'm not jumping through any hoops, I'm getting it from the US where the price of the 128gb is $849 which equates to R11 760.

Don't see how I'm jumping through any hoops here.

Edit: And I'm not going to the US just to get an iPhone and in fact im not going at all. I have someone whose going there and offered to get me one while he is there.

Again, I'm not sure how I'm jumping through any hoops?

Will be closer to R12500 by the time you have paid forex comm etc etc.

Also, core group have zip to do with iPhone releases in the country. The cellular networks are responsible for launching iPhones in SA and when Vodacom say 16 October you can take that as gospel. Core have to wait for the network to give them phones for contract, cash and FNB.

Yeah I'm sure it will probably even be around 13k including tax. I just calculated based on today's exchange rate.

I agree and I'm pretty sure Apple has the final say which countries are get the iPhone's first :) but it appears Apple have announced that it will be launched on the 16th according to their site. So I'll believe them before I believe Core or Vodacom :)
