iPhone 6s

It's a light tap rather than a press. Same as a fingerprint scan, your finger just needs to touch the sensor lightly. A double press brings up the open apps.

edit: on a normal 6s

Ah...thanks! I've tried it now the way you describe it, and it works well!

To all the 6S users...with regards to 3D touch...especially you, FiestaST...how do you guys find the effectiveness of trying to "soft click" (with other words, NOT trying to enforce 3D Touch)...if that makes sense?

Example: I scroll on a forum website and see a photo I want to save...on phones without 3D Touch you long press on the image and the "Save Image" dialog would appear...now when long pressing on my 6S, it activates 3D Touch and the "Peek" function...when I then try to click softer the image just "wiggles"...only after about five attempts do I manage to activate the "Save Image" dialog.

I saw a sensitivity slider for 3D Touch...maybe I must decrease it...but thought I would hear from you guys how you find it and if you have any tips on improving accuracy.

I understand what you are saying...ever since I got my phone my 3D Touch setting is on "Light". I guess it's just muscle memory. Very quick to adapt...

The "hardest" thing to do is delete a 3D Touch updated App. Press to firm & it hits the Quick Actions; a very light press is needed to enter wiggle mode.

If there is a pic from a site I want to save I open it in new tab & that new tab save from there.

Once in a blue moon I will get a stubborn site that does not let me save a photo; then I actually need to momentarily switch 3D Touch off.

On the whole the phone is very smart wrt ones presses.

Pokemon Go off to a rocky start, worldwide rollout paused because of server instability

Pokemon Go is off to a great start, for the most part. It ripped the charts in the US as it stands #1 in Top Free and Top Grossing in the iTunes App Store while reaching #1 in both Top Free and Top New Free on the Google Play Store, all within just 48 hours of its initial rollout.

It’s no wonder the overwhelming popularity of the game has people all over social media catching Pidgeys and Magikarp. This instant spotlight also caused the game to have major hiccups constantly causing the game to kick players off the servers.

The game’s creators have acknowledged the server outages on Twitter and has promised that it will continue to roll out the game to new countries once it’s sorted out the server problems.

Error message when trying to play with overloaded servers
The actual game has been working on and off in my personal experience. Yesterday, the game was down for most of the day but I was able to get a few minutes of gameplay while constantly checking to see if the game was working again. I am able to log on right now and it seems to work fine. Is the game not working for anyone else out there?

I'm not going to bother playing. My son is very keen and is using a nexus 7, but the amount of bugs and huge battery drain means you will fly through the recharge cycles in no time.

If I was going to play, I'd do it on a separate phone intended just for the game.
