Does this mean that you get the extended warranty and one accidental inscedent for free,or does it just cover breakdowns.

Write speed mostly matters for downloading into phone. Which is also limited by broadband speeds

Once u done with installing it's all about how fast folders and apps can be used and that is READ speed.

So copying from your desktop machine to your phone, you are happy to wait 8 times longer if you own the entry level iPhone?

Look, I understand that the 32GB is the cheap model that some people buy that just want the Apple logo.
But this problem hasn't existed in any of the previous models. Maybe it's just a software thing that they can update.

Jet black and micro-abrasions: how iPhone 7 holds up a month later

So just as I suspected right from the start, that's why I never even considered it for a single moment. Me thinks though that Apple's going to take some stick for this at some point, just because they warned people doesn't mean people won't complain about their scratchy ugly phones in 6 months or so.
Over all in my opinion this was a bad idea by Apple, except if they can somehow change production to make it more durable.

Also don't forget that having a protective sticker or case pulls off the logos.

can anyone shed some light on the trade in option.
when they say 'mint' condition what exactly are they expecting?

Did you watch the video?

Synthetic tests are 8 times slower. But copying that video was 1 minute slower, not 8 times slower.

Whether it's 32GB or 256GB, it doesn't enhance the power of the phone.
And would never need that much storage space, especially when streaming is advanced.

Played around with uploading a few videos and a movie to my iPad which is useless and a pain.

iPhone is an iPhone and that's what matters.

2 years ago when I traded in my iPhone 4s the only conditions was that all buttons had to work and no cracked glass, back or screen. They didn't even switch on my 4s to check it, they just felt all buttons and that was it, but I guess this was because I was still using my phone right there in front of them up to the point of resetting it and switching it off in front of them.

Things have changed now, they place a lot of enthesis on "mint condition", even when I emailed them to ask a question they again enthesised the mint condition thing, as if to say "don't simply assume you will get R5000 trade in on your phone". They also now require you to give back your original charger and cable with your phone and if you don't, you automatically get R500 less for the trade in.
I guess or actually hope with mint condition they mean no cracked screen or back obviously, all buttons working and no deforming bumps or scratches. I don't know if they'll actually test the phone, cable and charger.

If I can't manage to sell my iPhone 6 for R5000, I'll trade it in, just as with my iPhone 4s 2 years back, I'll keep using it up to the point of handing it over, so that they can see it's working.

So as a test, I uploaded a 1080P, 10it 8ch HEVC X265 file to my phone, just to see how it will perform. This struggles on my quadcore HTPC.

Played as smooth as a baby's bottom. But I guess it'll be tough on battery life as it takes quite a bit of processing power to decode that video codec.
