hey fellow iphone users

heres a little challenge

when i first got my iphone it was easy enough to get gmails pop3 to work with it... but as of a couple days ago gmail launched imap for their mail.
(which is basically a perfect sync between any of your mail clients, think of pop3 as one direction and imap as both ways)

well imap is working on my personal [email protected] . works a dream

but i also use google apps. which is if you own a domain you can be [email protected] but its actually a gmail account and its pretty dam amazing, with nearly 5 gigs of space etc

well i can get my personal account to work with imap but not my google apps account, even tho it is announced as working.

anybody using this feature?

I use IMAP but on my normal gmail account. Perhaps your account hasn't been enabled yet, I know they were rolling it out...My account only became IMAP enabled 2 weeks after some people's on the forum...so either wait it out, or drop an email to [email protected]

its working now this morning.... flippen leet

I installed IMAP the day after it was launched. Its been working much better then the POP3.

I changed my settings from pop to Imap and have to rebuild my mail.

300 MB of mail that I have to download again.

Be carefull.

Mine only downloaded the first 50.... and then after that if I want to go further to older mail it will download that.

I also cleaned up my mailbox before I did this whole IMAP activation.

Thanks for the headsup
