iPhone and Mac times different..

The automatic time on my iPhone is 3 min behind the automatic time on my Mac. Is anyone else having this issue?
I think it may have to do with the carrier (?). Im with Vodacom.

My time is also about 2 minutes behind windows...

This is quite frustrating as it often means I miss the train etc

Quite likely the carrier. I know if you set your auto time on your mac, it uses apple time servers connected to the atomic clock so to speak. On cellphones, time stamps are taken from the current network time.

I stand corrected so I would also like to know, one way or the other.
