Iphone gone dead

My iPhone was fine one minute, and then the nest I take it out my pocket and the screen is dead. I can't switch it on, nothing happens, even when plugged in to charge....

What could it be?

This should fix it! or try holding the home button then plug into PC.

probably was on, but had frozen while being locked

I have had it before.. It just freezes up when you lock it sometimes
