This has become really annoying. I've used 2 pairs of headphones now and it happens with both. Basically I insert the headphones into my iphone and i have to keep twisting them into the slot until the headphone 'registers' them (They have to be turned in perfect). Then if I move the phone slightly and all, the headphones will be disconnected. So so so annoying.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I'm pretty sure it isn't normal. It should be under warranty so do a sync, take it into vodacom and get it repaired/swapped out.

its not normal, ur iphone is faulty and needs to be repaired/replaced.
I advise taking straight to vodacom instead of a reseller, since resellers simply send it to vodacom anyways.

U will probably get a new unit, they hardly repair any of them...

If i take it, will they want me to give it in while they try fix it because that will take months :|

my experience is that they do need to keep the phone, u usually wait around 5-7 days for a replacement. As with any apple part.

Anyone had this problem tho? They do work, if I position them correctly (that takes like 30 seconds). Then they will disconnect if I move the phone slightly. Also the button on the headphones that are meant to pause/play/skip also don't work (with both pairs of headphones). Annoying that nothing ever works these days >.<!

They are tested, but i guess with transportation a certain number gets damaged. Although i have seen quite a high failure rate with the iphones compared to other apple products like touches/ipods etc.

Sorry to bring this up again, but how can I sync my iPhone so that all my calender appointments don't get deleted? Or are they automatically saved when I sync?
