iPhone hotspot & remote blaster

A friend of mine couldn't get his laptop or kindle to connect wirelessly to the iPhone personal hotspot. After endless googling and switching settings and turning devices on and off still couldn't get it to work.

Turns out the Dstv remote blaster was causing the problem. I guess it's in the same frequency range?

you can usually set the frequency on the RB with a few different settings. There is usually a button underneath the RB that says "Channel". I had the same conflict with my wifi. When wifi was on the same channel, RB wouldn't work. Once you move RB onto a new channel, it should be fine.
