Iphone/Ipad - high data usage

Wasn't sure whether to post this in the Vodacom section or Iphone section.

A work colleague has a Vodacom sim in a Huawei B618, with 2 Iphones and an Ipad connected via wifi.

He has data monitoring apps installed to check the wifi usage (not sure which, any recommendations?).
However, the usage reported by Vodacom is consistent around double the combined usage of all devices?

Eg. device usage today is around 5GB (for all devices combined) while Vodacom shows 10GB. No other devices connected as per B618 control panel.

Any thoughts / suggestions?

Get a detailed usage report showing sites that was visited or the app detail.

How do you know how much data is used by each device over WiFi? iOS doesn't track data usage over WiFi.

You just login to the router and check.

So this has nothing to do with the device and the question is whether the Huawei router or Vodacom is lieing?

Or perhaps you can download an app to check WiFi usage. Surely there's a handful.

I don't know about your experience but I've found those to not be very accurate on iPhone.

i can't agree more.
After upgrading to iOS 8.4 i noticed it uses lots more cellular data than before. And my data was empty before my bill cut off date. I have turned off Apple music, location service and background refresh. I thought it was my phone, so I wiped everything from my iphone 5s, did a hard reset and a clean install (not backup from iCloud). After that, the problem still exists, called my local provider and they said its a iOS 8.4 bug.

Now, if i check in Settings > Cellular Data Usage > Current period it says 16.1MB (this is a lot since i only used whatsapp, text only, and Nike+ running app once)
When i add up everything from "Use cellular data for:" it is 15 MB (including system services). So no idea where the 1.1 MB go.

I'd recommend he start by seeing if the router numbers agree with Vodacom or with the devices.
