iPhone is it possible to not have notifications come through a Bluetooth device?

Favourites exist for this reason, they get through DND barriers.

Focus modes are there for business calls to be allowed through.

There’s a context for everything.

I don’t consider calls to be Notifications regardless. The ringer is a separate thing for a reason.

You said you had the majority disabled which is all I was getting at. I certainly don’t have every notification disabled, but always silenced yes.

Vibrate off for vast majority as well as Lock Screen alerts.

I’ve for years wished Apple would introduce a default setting so you don’t have to go bloody configure it each and every time for every new app then I would just have the Badge icons on by default.

8:30 in the morning my phone automatically switched to Work focus which only allows calls and select apps to notify (badges, not lock screens, no audio) and back to Personal at 17:30 which turns off all work stuff and enabled some personal stuff.

When I get on the bike it automatically sets me to Driving mode and kills everything with an auto reply to say I’m on the bike and can’t respond.

And of course at night it automatically goes into Sleep mode which kills everything but calls from Favourites.

Do you really have to make every thread of this nature about you and your special needs?
Although it pains me to say this @Dolby really does have a point with how these threads go.

The thread op was really simple, I don't need to or want to read convoluted posts about how superior your unique way of dealing with notifications is, I just don't want to hear mine coming through the car Bluetooth.

If you can help please by all means but raining down on my parade just because I don't subscribe to your way of doing things is bs.

Nobody is raining down on any parade, it’s simply an alternative way of approaching things.

You aren’t forced to use it, but it may just have you asking yourself if you aren’t asking the wrong questions and therefore missing out on solutions.

All I think to try is calling yourself while connected to Bluetooth and then lowering the volume while it’s ringing and seeing if it remembers that.

Otherwise, as mentioned before, simply slide the toggle/slider on the side to silent…it’s literally there for this use case and you’ll no longer be bothered.

@OP, have you tried maybe setting the device type to something other than the default? IDK if it has any bearing, but maybe if you set it to something else it adjusts which sound is routed through to your stereo? Just taking a stab at it in the dark, as it were.

Thanks, I tried fiddling with that the other day but it seems it only related to how iOS deals with volume levels regarding hearing damage.

As per the op I need to hear the notifications just not through the connected Bluetooth device but rather through the phone/handset itself.

As @TedLasso mentioned it is possible on Android which is probably why I mistakenly thought it would be possible on iOS.
