Hi everyone,

I recently had problems on the MTN 3G network with my phone which deteriorated to such an extent, it was as if the phone couldnt switch from Edge to 3G or back again.

Discovered it was my sim card, and did a sim swap and all works ok now.

However, I had 9GB of music and stuff on my phone but now when I go to music, there is nothing on my phone. BUT, when I connect to iTunes it shows that there is 9GB of "other" on the phone, and now I cannot sync my phone cause there is not enough available space.

Does anyone know why this would have happened and what I would need to do in order to get rid of the "other" in order to sync and get my music and photos and stuff back?

Thanks in advance
Melanie

Cant you do a restore from iTunes and have it wipe the iPhone?

Thanks very much, I will try to restore.

With the sim swap, my contacts are all on the phone and not the sim anymore. Will the restore still back them up and how do I coopy the contacts from the phone back to the sim?

Well everytime you sync with itunes it does a back up of the phone, which includes all your contacts, as well as all your applestore apps
