Hi,
I've been wanting an iPhone4 but I have a contract with CellC, (still 18 months to run on it). As I'm sure we all know CellC don't do iPhones :(.
I decided to take out another contract with Vodacom to get an iPhone. My plan is to use my CellC sim card in the new iPhone as I need that number for business and let my wife use the new Vodacom sim card in her phone, (she's currently on a pay as you go package).
My question is this; is the iPhone network locked, will my CellC sim work in the Vodacom sourced iPhone? If it dosent I'll have to make another plan!
Thanks in advance.

Yes, It will work perfectly, even at cell c's "4G" speeds

One problem, the iphone uses a mini sim card so you'll have to cut you cell c one to fit(I did this with a vodacom simcard of mine) and you'll have to get and adapter for the mini vodacom sim so your wife can use it.

You could always just setup call forwarding on the cell-c sim so that all calls that are made to your cell-c number are forwarded to the vodacom number. This is also something that I'm currently doing

I am not sure how you are going to do this - the whole Vodacom network is consistently out of stock and has massive backorders. Or at least that is what Nashua Mobile tells me...
