In South Africa, they don't call you, you call them.
I went in store to pre-order the LG G3 two years back. Still waiting for them to let me know if it has arrived
If they don't call me, I'll probably stick to the 5S I have

Why don't you keep chasing them? Annoy them enough and they might start doing their job.
I prefer not to support those who don't give service![]()
Ok, you have a point with that, but the SE is a much better phone than the 5S...
All I use my phone for is the camera (that's the tempting part), whatsapp, tapatalk and calls. I don't need the extra performance
Don't forget the SE is future proof as well, it'll get longer support and has more features "under the hood" like VoLTE and others nice to have things like ApplePay.

Future proof is 2 years, possibly 3. It is even less future proof than the iPhone 6S since it came into existence after it.
Let's not forget that newer version of IOS tend to run a little slower as models get older.
Still no call yet bro![]()
The comparison was to the 5s, not the 6s.

Doesn't matter. Anyone saying a phone is future proof, when it doesn't even have 3D Touch or the latest TouchID, is making a silly statement.
No, the silly statements are from people who use another OS like Android and don't even like Apple who have to stick their nose into Apple threads...
Who would that be? Can't be me since I even own an Apple watch

I don't use either so it doesn't bother me... Future proofing to me is ensuring it will get updates for another two years without becoming very slow

Considering that most IOS devices get at least 2 major updates, and have been since they first came out, this isn't something that should be a surprise.
