IPhone to be released today by VC?

So I just got this SMS from Vodacom implying that the IPhone will be released today. Semi-cryptic stuff like "i? surf" and "i? react to your touch" etc.

Here are the details (from the sms):

• Starts at 21h00 at Vodaworld today (25/09).
• IPhone makes its appearance at midnight - so technically tomorrow.

Will I be there? Hell NO!!! It's a phone, not a damn time machine!

On the prepaid option, the 8GB version will retail for R7999 and the 16GB version for R9799. The Cellucity spokesperson could not yet confirm the contract options, as they are still awaiting confirmation on whether a pay-in will be required or whether it will be worked into the monthly contract fee.

Hopefully the contract option will be better, because with pricing like that, they will sell about 10 of them.

The packages cost R450 per month for 120 minutes with a pay-in of R2 189 for the 8GB and R3 299 for the 16GB at the low end.

The top package includes 500 minutes, costs R925 per month and requires a pay-in of R1 799 for the 8GB and R2 899 for the 16GB model



WOW what a suprise, everyone grab your vaseline....Not only do they make you wait months for it, but then are quick to tear you a new one. God it is actually so sad how we get ripped off in this country.
