Is there any way of making this work for the rugby later?

I see SABC is streaming and I’m at non-Apple person house. I could bring my ATV to AirPlay - but would prefer another way?

Kids have got the TV so I couldn’t play or see if there are any settings to tweak - but I got picture/sound over AirPlay.

Thanks

Oh wait - so I’ll need to see the cost

One of the greatest disadvantages is that Airscreen mirroring is only free for 30 minutes a day. Then you have to pay. Besides that, you need to pay for all of their features

But remember ios updates and you get all the same features from the new phones right.
Plus you'll never know the pure joy unless you're in a complete apple environment

So a Firestick cannot install the SABC+ app?
Doubtful - it doesn't look like the fire stick is even available on Amazon.co.za (yet) so it remains unsupported in SA.

You could probably side load it but it's a schlep. I've had a few of them over the years, gifts from my dad when he visits, but they're just taking up space in the junk drawer along side a couple kindle fires.

Same goes for Rokus. No local support means no local apps.

I ditched my Fire Stick and got an Apple TV instead. Never mind the Apple universe, the FS just had too many hoops and restrictions to navigate. And of course the gigabit Ethernet was a bonus.

Sure, but this isn't his nor his home, so now he must carry his apple env with him?

If the homeowner doesn't have a compatible device then it would seem to be the smart thing to do. They're not heavy, at least not compared to that chip on your shoulder.
But it's an M4 air chip, it smokes the competition
