Anyone have any idea if it's possible to force WiFi calling as the preferred calling option on your Vodacom sim? I've searched but I'm not sure if this is a network thing or an iPhone thing, apparently you can do it on Android.

I'm overseas and Vodacom is automatically connecting to a local network for roaming which is fine as I have an eSim set up for local data which means I'm still getting WhatsApp and messages etc. But when I'm in a WiFi zone like in the hotel, I'd rather the Vodacom sim it switches automatically to WiFi calling instead of staying on the roaming network. Then I can use my Vodacom sim like normal for phoning home etc at a local rate.

I can and do usually put the phone on airplane mode and switch WiFi back on and it will connect automatically for WiFi calling, but that is not only a pain in the arse but airplane mode also switches off the eSim of course. Sure I don't need the data sim when covered by WiFi, but it all just seems a bit of a mission when it could be simple if you could just force WiFi calling to be the preferred option then this tinkering is unnecessary.

Anyone have any ideas? I reckon it can't be done but maybe using Shortcuts (which I'm useless at) or something?
