Hi, I unlocked my iPhone recently and tried to sync with iTunes and nothing happens. Downloaded latest version of iTunes, installed, uninstalled nothing. Went into device manager and tried to restart device still to no avail.

Anybody experience the same prob?

Running XP home and SP2.

Do you get an error message? if so what does it say?
can you see if the device is making any sort of connection? what happens when you start iTunes?

I dont get any error messages, just a sound acknowledging device is connected. iPhone photo option appears but nothing in iTunes.

Connected to my home PC running vista, pops up in iTunes pane and syncs with the iPhone then suddenly my PC goes bezerk saying that there is a hardware error.

Just when I thought it would work

You lost me at VISTA bud ... i am not to familiar with VISTA. when in doubt reboot. try re-installing iTunes. :(

Hey managed to sync it. Had to turn off firewall in XP.

Vista conflicts with iTunes no way out there.

iTunes 7.6.2 (9) and iPhone sync problem - please help

Hi, I searched the forum for possible answers but this thread came closest - now I am stuck.

I have an iPhone 16 Gb which is unlocked with 1.1.4 firmware that used to sync with iTunes on my Powerbook G4 15' with OsX 10.4.

I recently upgraded the mac to Leopard 10.5.3 and now iTunes doesn't read my iPhone any more.

My 60Gb iPod (with video) is still recognized and syncs normally to the iTunes 7.6.2 (9) version that is installed, but I don't see the iPhone at all. When I connect the iPhone, iPhoto launches and is ready to download the photos.

Thanks.

This is what I usually do to fix errors I may have...

Solve Syncing with iTunes Errors.

If you've had error messages when syncing your iPhone with iTunes try these steps...

1) Reset sync history
iTunes Preferences> Syncing Tab> Click the reset button

2) Reboot iPhone
Hold down the sleep button till the red power off button appears> slide to power off> Then press the sleep button to boot your iPhone.

3) Use a different USB Port
