Hi

I would just like to know if some1 can help me if I buy an iphone5 here will someone in Europe be able to use it?

My upgrade on my contract is coming up soon and I want to get an iphone5.

I already have an iphone4S so I want to give one of them as a present to a family member in Europe for Christmas but not sure if it will work over there if the phone is from South Africa.

It should work fine.

The operator in the UK must support most if not all of these bands.

GSM model A1429*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE** (Bands 1, 3, 5)

Our model will probably be the A1429 from this mybb article

You just have to make sure its not carrier locked. I'm not sure about Europe but in the US they have carrier locked phones. But i'm assuming European countries and most other places like SA have unlocked phones therefore should work with any network.
