I seem to recall he had a good run in the Big Bash. But he was badly out of sorts in this one.

Yep lots of playing and missing, reminds me of Adrian Kuiper with the couple of 6's (into Newlands station or the brewery) and out innings he used to play.
Took him a while to learn to play himself in a bit.
