I see JioCinema are streaming for free in India. I wonder if they'll make that stream available in SA. Otherwise VPN I guess

It's called debt.. When has a lack of funding ever stopped any SOE, atleast this way there would be a small benefit for us tax payers.

They pulled out of the auction for the total rights last minute. So they don't own the rights. Doesn't mean if they wanted to that they can't get the license for the region from Viacom.
 
The Paramount+ video streaming service — which will be streaming IPL matches live in some countries — is set to launch in South Africa in the coming months.

Hopefully they come soon - hopefully not the new DSTV ...
